The island of Korcula is known for its pine woods, hidden coves and beautiful beaches with the crystal blue sea. Korcula island is an ideal destination to spend your summer holidays in Croatia. There are several large sandy, pebble and rocky beaches on the island. We’ll list the most popular ones if you decide to explore different places on the island.
Vela Przina is the largest sandy beach on the island of Korcula. Because of this, it is a very popular beach for tourists and locals during the high summer season. Vela Przina is located a few kilometers from Lumbarda village, surrounded by sun kissed vineyards and small hills in the southern part of the island.
Samograd beach is located in pure exotic nature, a few kilometers away from Racisce village. This pebble beach is located deep in the bay on the north side of the island. The best time for visiting is in the morning so you can enjoy more sun.
Pupnatska Luka is a beautiful pebble beach located a few kilometres from Pupnat village. If you are hungry, you can have lunch at the beach bar that sells cold drinks with grilled meat, fish and other seafood.
Another exotic white pebble beach near Racisce village is amazing Vaja Beach. This beach is like a blue lagoon and is simply breathtaking. If you stay long enough, you can see beautiful sunset that you won’t forget so easily.
Proizd island is situated near Vela Luka village and it is reachable by boat. The journey is long about half an hour. The beaches on the island are mostly made of white stone slabs that lead directly to the crystal clear turquoise sea.
Raznjic beach is large area made of large rocks washed up by stormy seas throughout the centuries forming slides and steps convenient for getting in and out of the sea. It is located at the very top east coast of the Korcula island close to Lumbarda village. The water is extremely clean reflecting several colour shades of green and blue.
Bilin Zal is another sandy beach near Lumbarda village. It is located on the opposite side of Vela Przina Beach and only a few minutes walk through the vineyards. The beach is sunny all day around with no natural shade so it is recommended to take a parasol to protect yourself from the bright sun.
